Workplace Health & Safety Award

Description

The Workplace Health & Safety Award recognizes an organization that has shown leadership through its commitment to improving its health and safety management practices or implemented a new, unique idea to create a safer, healthier work environment.

Requirements

To qualify as a nominee for the YK Chamber Business Awards, all applicants must meet the following:

1. The nominated business must be operating at the time of nomination and at the time of the presentation of the award
2. Businesses must be a member of the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce. New members welcome!
3. Businesses may be nominated for more than one category

The organization must not be currently prosecuted or investigated for prosecution, for a violation under the Northwest Territories occupational health and safety legislation. All safety management and practices must be in compliance with the NWT Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation and Code.
